WAEC Subject Requirement For Mass Communication And JAMB Subject Combination

Mass Communication is the study that concerns the flow of information or information exchange through mass media to the population in the same period. This is achieved through mediums such as newspapers, magazines, books, radio, television and even the internet.

This information can be in the form of news, entertainment, documentary, advert, etc. the study is usually a 4 years course (5 years at the University of Technology). The course major in Journalism, Broadcasting, and production as her core and fundamental activities.

Jamb Subject Combination For Mass Communication 

The JAMB subject combination for Mass communication requirement include:

  1. English language (compulsory)
  2. Literature in English
  3. Economics
  4. Government

Possibly any other Arts and Social science subjects are required in line with the English language which is compulsory.

Waec Subject Requirement For Mass Communication 

In order to be able to successfully participate in JAMB examination as a prospective undergraduate, there is need to possess the ideal qualification in WAEC that will guarantee ones sitting for the examination. There is need to possess five credit pass in Art subjects such as

Recommendation

Every candidate needs to prepare well for these examinations, the high price to be paid is consistent study, and not just study without direction but to acquire past question paper as a guideline to aid and direct your reading. Of course, success doesn’t come without a price tag. Also, acquire necessary and needed information that will help you have upper hand to travail in the examination, most importantly strive to beat whatever mark that is set by the examination board.

It is important to be aware of the subject combination for JAMB and the subject needed when writing WAEC so that there will be no room for a mistake during the process of registration. It is important to also know the accredited institutions which offer Mass communication.  

It is important to note that most institutions are interested in candidates who have one or to sitting in WAEC and JAMB over those who have sat for the examinations multiple times.
